Akron police arrest man, seize drugs and stolen firearm in Kenmore raid

AKRON, O.H. — A 30-year-old man was arrested following an ongoing investigation into drug and criminal activity in a Kenmore neighborhood, the Akron Police Department announced.

On Wednesday morning, officers from the Anti-Violence Bureau executed a search warrant at a residence in the 2100 block of 22nd Street S.W. During the search, police seized 382 grams of methamphetamine, 47 grams of suspected fentanyl, 30 Xanax bars, 4 grams of crack cocaine, nearly $2,600 in cash, and a stolen handgun with an extended magazine.

The suspect, Lexington Jacobs, was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with weapons under disability, two counts of trafficking, receiving stolen property, and drug possession before being booked into the Summit County Jail.
