MIDDLETOWN, N.J. — Middletown Mayor Tony Perry participated in the town’s Read Across America celebration at Village School, engaging with students in a day of reading and discussion.
Perry visited three classrooms, reading books and answering questions from students. The event aimed to encourage literacy and a love of reading among young learners.
“Three classes, three great books, and plenty of fun questions from some really curious kids,” Perry shared in a post on social media.
The Read Across America initiative, launched by the National Education Association, promotes reading in schools and communities nationwide.
Perry’s visit was part of an ongoing effort in Middletown to support literacy and education programs.
