VILLAS, N.J. — A 55-year-old Villas man has been arrested following an investigation into a lewdness complaint involving multiple juveniles, Cape May County authorities announced Tuesday.
Robert McKinley, of Greenwood Avenue, was taken into custody on March 4, 2025, after the Cape May County Regional S.W.A.T. Team executed a court-authorized search warrant at his residence. The arrest followed a joint investigation by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Lower Township Police Department, launched after reports that juveniles saw a naked man in the 100 West block of Greenwood Avenue on February 26.
McKinley faces three counts of lewdness, a fourth-degree crime, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a third-degree crime. If convicted, a third-degree offense carries a potential three- to five-year prison sentence under New Jersey law.
