CHESAPEAKE, VA – On Thursday at approximately 10:22 a.m., Chesapeake Police responded to Oak Grove Lake Park following a report of a missing 3-year-old girl.
Officers commenced a large-scale search of the park and surrounding areas. At 11:20 a.m., the child was discovered in a nearby body of water and was in medical distress.
Life-saving measures were administered at the scene by officers. The child was subsequently transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
The Chesapeake Police Department is currently investigating the incident. No further details have been released at this time.
