Police Continue Search for Newark Man Who Vanished Over One Month Ago

NEWARK, N.J. — Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 57-year-old Newark man who was last seen on January 21, 2025.

Jean Kensel Pierre Louis was admitted to Saint Michael’s Medical Center on January 21 and discharged later that day, but he never returned home, according to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr.

Louis is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket and blue pants. Officials said his mental and physical conditions are reportedly good.

Detectives say Louis is known to frequent the area of South Orange Avenue and Sanford Avenue.
