17-Year-Old Arrested for Firearms Possession in Boston

Boston, MA – Members of the Youth Violence Strike Force, along with Boston Housing Police officers, arrested a 17-year-old male Thursday for firearm charges at 333 Warren Street in Roxbury.

The arrest came after officers noted ongoing safety concerns at a McDonald’s at 301 Warren Street involving juveniles, affecting patrons and local residents. While patrolling near Warren Street and Dale Street, officers observed two males who appeared vigilant, with one in all black and the other in a brown coat with a red hoodie.

As officers approached the McDonald’s parking lot, they saw the male in black watching their movements and then briskly walking away as the other male disappeared. Officers identified and investigated the male in black, finding a Phoenix Arms .22LR firearm between vehicles along the path where the other male fled.

A Glock 19 firearm with a round in the chamber and 13 rounds in the magazine was found in the 17-year-old’s coat. A records check revealed it was stolen from Burlington, Vermont. The weapons were secured, and the 17-year-old faces multiple charges in Boston Municipal Juvenile Court, including unlawful firearm possession.
