NEWARK, N.J. — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating three individuals wanted for questioning in connection with a home invasion and carjacking that took place earlier this month in Newark.
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. said police are searching for Hendrika Jones, 31, of Newark, and Steven Howard, 28, and Corey Wilson, 29, both of Jersey City.
The incident occurred around 2 a.m. on February 11, when the victim was leaving his residence on the 400 block of Irvine Turner Boulevard. Two masked suspects assaulted him, stole his car keys, and fled in his 2018 gray Chevrolet Malibu. Police recovered the vehicle five days later in Jersey City.
Howard is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, 200 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. Wilson is 5 feet 8 inches tall and 180 pounds. Jones is 5 feet tall, 120 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Newark police as the investigation continues.
