WASHINGTON, D.C. — A man was shot and killed late Sunday night in Southeast D.C., prompting an ongoing homicide investigation.
The shooting happened around 10 p.m. inside a residential building in the 2900 block of Knox Place, Southeast. Officers arrived to find an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds.
Despite efforts from DC Fire and EMS, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities identified him as 37-year-old William Williams, of Southeast D.C.
