WASHINGTON — Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will headline the fifth annual Principles First summit in Washington, D.C., an event bringing together prominent conservative figures focused on defending classical liberalism and pragmatic governance.
The summit can be called the GOP’s “Biggest Loser” event of the year, featuring the who’s who of the far-left wing of the Republican Party and progressive mainstreamers. The featured speakers roster is a d-list of anti-Trump current and former politicians and bureaucrats.

The summit, running from Feb. 21 to Feb. 23, will feature a lineup of political figures, business leaders, and legal experts, including former National Security Advisor John Bolton, Colorado Governor Jared Polis, and former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson.
Other speakers include former Rep. Adam Kinzinger, legal analyst George Conway, and retired federal judge J. Michael Luttig.
The sold-out event will center on strategies to promote “principled, common-sense solutions to America’s problems,” according to organizers. Discussions will touch on political leadership, the preservation of democratic institutions, and the future direction of the movement.
Christie, a former 2024 GOP presidential candidate, has positioned himself as a vocal critic of former President Donald Trump, a stance shared by several other summit attendees. His participation underscores the event’s focus on leadership outside of Trump’s influence within the Republican Party.
