Gun-wielding teen arrested in violent Southeast DC burglary

WASHINGTON, DC — A 17-year-old male has been arrested in connection with an armed burglary that took place last month in Southeast D.C., police said.

On January 23 at approximately 1:24 p.m., multiple suspects forcibly entered an occupied home in the 2400 block of Elvans Road, Southeast. When the victim went to investigate, one suspect pulled out a handgun while others stole property before fleeing the scene.

On February 12, officers arrested 17-year-old Corda Swann of Southeast, DC, under a DC Superior Court warrant. He has been charged as an adult under Title 16 with burglary one while armed (gun).
