Cherry Hill police investigating threat at high school, students relocated

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Authorities are investigating a threat at Cherry Hill High School East, prompting an early dismissal and the relocation of students and staff to Cherry Hill High School West, police announced Monday.

The Cherry Hill Police Department was notified of the threat at approximately 9:00 a.m. and deployed patrol and investigative resources to the school. Cherry Hill Campus Police were already on location when the response began.

“In coordination with our response, the Cherry Hill School District made a determination to initiate an early dismissal,” officials stated. Law enforcement will maintain a presence in the area for several hours as the investigation continues.

Police are working with local, county, state, and federal partners to assess the threat and will release further details as they become available.
