WASHINGTON, D.C. — A man accused of shooting another person in Southwest D.C. last month has been arrested and charged, authorities announced Thursday.
The shooting took place on Jan. 24 in the 1100 block of 4th Street SW. The victim, an adult male, was shot before fleeing to the intersection of 3rd and K Streets SW, where officers found him around 2:37 p.m. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Following an investigation, members of the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Apprehension Unit arrested 35-year-old Cameron McMillian on Feb. 5 under a D.C. Superior Court warrant. He has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of Weapons During the Commission of a Crime of Violence.
Authorities have not disclosed further details about the motive or circumstances surrounding the shooting.
