D.C. man charged in multi-theft crime wave

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A man accused of committing multiple burglaries, thefts, and property destruction offenses in 2024 has been arrested, police announced Wednesday.

Authorities took 38-year-old Reginald Calloway of Southeast, D.C., into custody on Feb. 4 around 1:44 p.m. after locating him through the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Apprehension Unit.

Following an investigation by the Second District Detective Unit, Calloway was charged with four counts of burglary, two counts of theft, and one count of destruction of property. The offenses occurred between February and October 2024 at locations across Northwest D.C., including Woodley Place, Foxhall Crescent, and Rockwood Parkway.

Calloway was apprehended pursuant to a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant. No further details about the crimes or potential additional suspects have been released.
