BALTIMORE, MD — A 58-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred in Baltimore’s Eastern District in November, according to the Baltimore Police Department.
Raynard Venable, of Baltimore, was taken into custody on February 2, 2025, by Warrant Apprehension detectives in the 800 block of East 22nd Street. He has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility.
The shooting took place on November 29, 2024, following a dispute between Venable and a 57-year-old victim in the 2500 block of East Oliver Street. After being shot, the victim fled to the 2700 block of East Federal Street, where police and medics responded. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue to review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
