WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 22-year-old man was fatally shot early Tuesday morning in Northwest D.C., marking the latest incident in a string of gun-related violence across the city.
The shooting occurred around 12:02 a.m. on February 4 in the 3100 block of 16th Street Northwest. Officers from the Third District responded after hearing gunshots and discovered E’Zell Hill, of Northeast D.C., unconscious and not breathing, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
DC Fire and EMS arrived at the scene, but despite all lifesaving efforts, Hill was pronounced dead.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
