New Jersey plant awarded $25 million contract modification for AEGIS system sustainment

MOORESTOWN, N.J. — Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has been awarded a $24.98 million contract modification to support the sustainment and integration of the AEGIS combat system, the Department of Defense announced.

The cost-plus-incentive-fee modification to contract N00024-23-C-5123 covers in-service AEGIS sustainment, system integration, and product documentation and support. Work will be performed at Lockheed Martin’s facility in Moorestown and is expected to be completed by December 2025.

The contract is funded by Fiscal Year 2025 research, development, and test funds amounting to $18.89 million (75.63%) and Fiscal Year 2019 shipbuilding and conversion funds totaling $6.08 million (24.37%). The obligated funds will remain available beyond the current fiscal year.

The Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C., is managing the contract, which ensures continued operational readiness and support for the U.S. Navy’s AEGIS-equipped fleet.
