Chicken Salad Chick to open first Maryland location in Westminster

WESTMINSTER, Md. — Chicken Salad Chick, the fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in made-from-scratch chicken salad, is set to open its first Maryland location on Tuesday, February 11. The new restaurant, located at 255 Baltimore Boulevard in the Westminster Station shopping center, expands the brand’s presence to 21 states.

To celebrate, the first 100 customers in line will receive free chicken salad for a year. Additional giveaways will take place throughout the restaurant’s grand opening week, including branded tumblers, cutting boards, tote bags, and coolers for early guests making qualifying purchases.

The Westminster location is owned by franchisee Paul Weitz, who also operates Jersey Mike’s Subs shops. Weitz, originally from Atlanta, where Chicken Salad Chick is based, discovered the brand through his family and decided to bring it to Maryland. His business entity, Bmore Chick, LLC, has plans to open additional locations in the Baltimore area.

Chicken Salad Chick’s menu features more than a dozen varieties of chicken salad, as well as soups, sandwiches, and desserts. The new location will offer dine-in, take-out, third-party delivery, and catering options.

With its expansion into Maryland, Chicken Salad Chick continues its rapid national growth, bringing its Southern-inspired menu to a new customer base.
