WASHINGTON, D.C. — A fatal shooting in Northwest D.C. has left one man dead as the Metropolitan Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
On Thursday, at approximately 9:32 p.m., officers from the Third District responded to a report of a shooting in the 400 block of N Street, Northwest. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds.
DC Fire and EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where despite all lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as 55-year-old Steven Wilson of Northeast, D.C.
The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to determine the events leading up to the shooting. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that results in the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
