WASHINGTON, D.C. — Gunfire was reported around 6:30 a.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of K Street, Northwest, as a suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.

The suspect, described as wearing a white shirt and dark pants, was last seen driving away shortly after the shooting. No further details have been released regarding potential victims or what may have led to the incident.

Investigators are working to gather information, and the area remains part of an active crime scene as the search for the suspect continues.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
