North Bellmore man sentenced to 20 years to life for murdering wife

MINEOLA, N.Y. — A North Bellmore man has been sentenced to 20 years to life in prison for fatally stabbing his wife inside their home in October 2022 while their eight-year-old child was in another room, prosecutors said.

Anthony Paruolo, 39, pleaded guilty on December 4th to second-degree murder. He was sentenced Tuesday before Judge Robert A. Schwartz.

Authorities said Paruolo’s wife, 42-year-old Danielle Paruolo, had been seeking a divorce when he attacked her on October 6, 2022. When police arrived at the home, they found her dead in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds and a 13-inch chef’s knife lodged in her neck.

Paruolo was arrested hours later at a relative’s home in Kings Park. Their child, who was home at the time of the murder, was found unharmed.
