Newark police seek public’s help identifying robbery suspects

NEWARK, N.J. — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying three suspects involved in a robbery early Tuesday morning on Park Avenue between Highland Avenue and Lake Street.

According to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr., the robbery occurred at approximately 12:14 a.m. on January 28. Three suspects exited a white Mercedes wagon, possibly an ML model, and assaulted a male victim before stealing his personal belongings. A fourth suspect, the driver, remained inside the vehicle. The suspects were last seen heading north on Lake Street.

Detectives described Suspect #1 as wearing all-black clothing, a black ski mask, a gray hooded jacket, and dark Air Jordan sneakers. Suspect #2 was dressed in a black top, black ski mask, black hooded jacket, blue jeans, and dark gray sneakers. Suspect #3 wore a blue jacket, dark denim jeans, and white and black Air Jordan sneakers.

Authorities urge anyone with information about the suspects to contact the Newark Police Division.
