BALTIMORE, MD — A 15-year-old male has been arrested and charged as an adult with first-degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a security guard at a fast-food restaurant in the Northern District earlier this month.

The incident occurred on January 12 in the 4400 block of Reisterstown Road, where officers found 38-year-old Jamal Davis suffering from gunshot wounds. Davis, who worked as a security guard, was transported to a hospital but did not survive.

Investigators determined that the shooting followed a dispute and altercation between Davis and the suspect. On January 28, Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested the teen at a home in the 1500 block of North Smallwood Street. He was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility to face charges.

The case remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the deadly encounter.
