WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 15-year-old boy was arrested and charged with robbery after a victim was targeted on Thursday in the 1100 block of 15th Street, Northwest, the Metropolitan Police Department announced Monday.
The robbery occurred around 3:39 p.m. when the suspect approached the victim on the street and snatched their property before fleeing the scene. A lookout for the suspect was issued by Second District officers.
The next day, the Second District Crime Suppression Team spotted an individual matching the suspect’s description in the same area. The suspect was stopped, identified as the perpetrator, and arrested.
The 15-year-old, a resident of Northeast D.C., was charged with robbery, and the stolen property was recovered, police said.
