WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 15-year-old male from Northeast D.C. has been arrested in connection with a robbery that occurred in Northwest on Thursday afternoon, police announced Monday.
The robbery happened on January 23 around 3:39 p.m. in the 1100 block of 15th Street, Northwest. The victim reported being approached by the suspect, who snatched their property before fleeing the scene.
The following day, officers from the Second District’s Crime Suppression Team spotted a juvenile matching the suspect’s description in the area. After stopping the individual, officers confirmed he was the suspect involved in the robbery.
The teenager was arrested and charged with Robbery (Snatch), and the stolen property was successfully recovered.
