ROCHESTER, NY — Two top-prize winning tickets for the Jan. 24 Take 5 Evening drawing were sold at stores in Avon and Fairport, New York Lottery officials announced Monday.

One ticket, worth $17,780.50, was sold at Quicklees, located at 265 E Main St. in Avon. Another winning ticket for the same amount was purchased at Quicklee’s at 1311 Fairport Rd. in Fairport.

Take 5 is a daily New York Lottery game where players select numbers from a field of one through 39. Drawings take place twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., with results available immediately after.

Lottery prizes, regardless of the amount, must be claimed within one year from the drawing date.

Both stores have earned recognition for selling the winning tickets, and winners are encouraged to contact the New York Lottery to claim their prizes.
