TRENTON, NJ — A $400,000 top prize in the New Jersey Lottery’s Crossword Bonanza scratch-off game has been claimed by a player in Cape May County.

The $20 ticket was purchased at U.S. Food, located at 1402 Route 47 South in Rio Grande. This is the second of three top prizes available for the game, according to lottery officials.

The New Jersey Lottery, established in 1970, has contributed nearly $33.7 billion to the state, supporting various programs and services, including education and public employee pensions.

Lottery profits currently help fund the public employee pension system as part of a 30-year agreement enacted in 2017.

One top prize remains for the Crossword Bonanza game, offering another opportunity for a significant win.
