CANTON, OH — A Canton resident named Kenny is celebrating after winning $50,000 on the Ohio Lottery’s VIP Millions scratch-off, lottery officials confirmed Monday.
Kenny purchased his lucky ticket at Woodlawn Food Market, located at 1910 Woodlawn Ave NW in Canton. After federal and state taxes, totaling 28%, he will take home approximately $36,000.
The $50 VIP Millions scratch-off offers a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years, with 47 top prizes still available as of Jan. 27.
Woodlawn Food Market joins the growing list of lucky retailers in Ohio that have sold winning tickets for the state’s popular scratch-off games.
Since its inception in 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to support education across the state.
