SOUTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. — Authorities are investigating a homicide in South Brunswick Township after a Freehold woman was found dead in a residence on Route 27, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and South Brunswick Police Chief Raymond Hayducka.
Police responded to the residence on January 9, 2025, at approximately 3:15 p.m., after receiving a report of an unresponsive female. Upon arrival, officers found 38-year-old Lauren Saldana unconscious. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation led by Detective Matthew Hagood of the South Brunswick Police Department and Detective Javier Morillo of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office identified 41-year-old Roman Romanovskiy, of South Brunswick, as the alleged perpetrator.
