MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — An 18-year-old man was arrested late Wednesday following a commercial burglary that escalated into a police pursuit through Gaithersburg.

On Jan. 22, around 11 p.m., Montgomery County police responded to reports of a burglary at a commercial property in the 8000 block of Cessna Avenue. Upon arriving, officers saw a black Cadillac CT5 speeding away from the scene.

Attempts to stop the vehicle led to a chase along Interstate 27 and onto Interstate 495. The pursuit ended when the driver crashed into a parked car, and the four suspects in the vehicle tried to flee on foot.

One of the suspects, identified as Michael Evan Cutler, 18, was apprehended and taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the crash. Police recovered items from the vehicle linked to the burglary.

Cutler was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit and charged with second-degree burglary. He remains in custody without bond. The other three suspects remain at large as the investigation continues.
