Lost goldendoodle reunited with owner after weeklong search in Northeast DC

WASHINGTON, DC – A dog that went missing earlier this month in Northeast DC has been safely returned to its owner after being found by a concerned citizen.

The incident began on Sunday, January 12, at around noon, when the dog wandered off from the 200 block of 26th Street, Northeast. Unable to find identification on the dog, the citizen who found it brought the animal home. Days later, after seeing news reports about the missing pet, the citizen contacted the owner.

On Thursday, January 16, the dog was reunited with its grateful owner. The Metropolitan Police Department confirmed the case is no longer under investigation.
