WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 21-year-old man was found fatally shot inside a Southeast D.C. apartment Saturday morning, marking the latest homicide in the city.
At approximately 9:27 a.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Congress Street, Southeast, following a report of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered Raymont Owens, of Southeast D.C., suffering from gunshot wounds inside the apartment. DC Fire and EMS pronounced him dead at the scene after finding no signs of life.
Details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation, and no arrests have been made.
