Village People Perform at Trump's 2025 Inauguration Celebrations

In a surprising move that has stirred both controversy and celebration, the iconic disco group Village People have confirmed their participation in the inaugural festivities for President-elect Donald Trump’s second term.

The Village People, famous for their hit “Y.M.C.A.,” which has become a staple at Trump’s political rallies, announced they would perform at several events as part of the 2025 inauguration.

The band, known for their distinctive costumes and catchy tunes, stated on their social media that their performance is an attempt to “bring the country together with music” following a divisive election campaign.

Despite their history of sending a cease-and-desist letter to Trump for using their music without permission in 2023, the band’s lead singer, Victor Willis, has since reversed this stance, highlighting the unifying power of music.

“We know this won’t make some of you happy to hear however we believe that music is to be performed without regard to politics,” Willis stated in a recent social media post.
