DUQUESNE, Pa. — An early-morning shooting in Duquesne left one man dead and a woman critically injured, according to the Allegheny County Police Department.
Police were called to the 100 block of Commonwealth Avenue at approximately 5:04 a.m. Sunday after County 9-1-1 received a report of a shooting. Responding officers discovered an adult male and an adult female with gunshot wounds inside a residence.
The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The female victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where she is listed in critical condition.
The Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit has launched an investigation and is seeking information related to the incident.
