PITTSBURGH, PA — Pittsburgh Police Robbery Unit detectives have arrested two 15-year-olds in connection with a pair of business robberies on the city’s South Side.
Anthony Bennett, of Pittsburgh, and Adrian Butera, of Green Tree, are facing multiple charges, including robbery, theft by unlawful taking, criminal conspiracy, and possessing instruments of crime, police announced.
The juveniles, both charged under Act 33, which allows minors to be tried as adults for serious offenses in Pennsylvania, were transported to the Allegheny County Jail following their arrests.
Details surrounding the robberies, including the specific businesses targeted and how investigators linked the suspects to the crimes, have not been released. Police confirmed the charges are the result of an ongoing investigation by the Robbery Unit.
Authorities continue to investigate the incidents as the suspects await further legal proceedings.
