BRONX, N.Y. — An MTA bus was left teetering over a stone wall Thursday after the driver lost control on a ramp to the Henry Hudson Parkway, authorities said.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Kappock Street and Independence Avenue in the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx, within the jurisdiction of the NYPD’s 50th Precinct.

According to officials, the bus skidded off the roadway and crashed through a stone barrier, leaving its front end suspended above Kappock Street.
Emergency responders from the FDNY performed a high-angle trauma rescue to safely extract the bus operator, who was uninjured.
It remains unclear whether any passengers were on board at the time of the crash.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
