BEL AIR, MD — A Harford County couple has scored a $1 million Mega Millions prize after decades of playing Lottery games together, turning their persistence into a life-changing win.

The couple, who have chosen to remain anonymous, purchased the lucky ticket for the December 10 drawing at a Wawa store located at 709 Bel Air Road in Harford County. The wife’s ticket matched all five white balls, securing a $1 million second-tier prize.

The husband bought four tickets—two for himself and two for his wife—and checked the winning numbers online a few days after the drawing. When he realized the magnitude of the win, he rushed to share the news. To confirm, the couple revisited the Wawa and scanned the $2 ticket, verifying their good fortune.

The pair, longtime Baltimore Ravens fans and Lottery enthusiasts, plan to save and invest the majority of the prize while helping their family, making a donation to their church, and securing their financial future.

The couple, who have shared the news only with their children, said they’ll continue playing the Lottery with renewed enthusiasm, calling the win an unforgettable moment in their decades of playing.
