WASHINGTON, D.C. — A teenager was shot and injured on Sunday afternoon in Southeast D.C., prompting a search for the suspect captured on nearby surveillance cameras.
The shooting occurred around 2:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of Fairlawn Avenue, where Sixth District officers found the male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
