WASHINGTON, D.C. — A teenager was shot and injured on Sunday afternoon in Southeast D.C., prompting a search for the suspect captured on nearby surveillance cameras.
The shooting occurred around 2:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of Fairlawn Avenue, where Sixth District officers found the male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Authorities released an image of the suspect recorded by surveillance cameras in the area. No additional details about the suspect have been provided at this time.
