STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A suspect is in custody following an armed robbery at a Stafford County 7-Eleven earlier this month, thanks to the efforts of detectives with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
The robbery occurred on January 2 at approximately 4:25 a.m. at the 7-Eleven located at 1 Commerce Parkway. The suspect, later identified as Kendall Woods, 32, of Stafford, entered the store, brandished a handgun, and demanded cash from the register. Surveillance footage captured the suspect stuffing the money into a bag before fleeing the scene.
Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit used witness statements and surveillance footage to identify a vehicle of interest, which ultimately led to the identification of Woods as the suspect. Further investigation revealed that Woods was in Charlottesville.
On January 10, Stafford County detectives, working with the Charlottesville Police Department, located Woods and the vehicle used in the robbery. Woods was arrested without incident and transported to Rappahannock Regional Jail, where he is being held without bond.

Woods has been charged with armed robbery, and the case highlights the collaboration between local law enforcement agencies.
