MAURICE RIVER TOWNSHIP, N.J. — The New Jersey State Police are actively searching for a suspect involved in the attempted abduction of a juvenile girl in Cumberland County and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual.
The incident occurred on January 12, 2025, around 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of State Highway 47 and Main Street in Maurice River Township.
According to authorities, an unknown male suspect attempted to abduct the girl outside her home before fleeing the area.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, between 30 and 40 years old, with light stubbly facial hair and a distinctive two-inch jagged scar on his left jawline. He was last seen wearing a black beanie, an oversized black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black socks, and black shoes.
