WEST CHESTER, PA — A Chester County judge has sentenced Lucino Ochoa-Mena, 41, of West Chester, to 40–80 years in state prison for sexually abusing a child over a nine-year period.

Ochoa-Mena was convicted in June 2024 of 14 criminal offenses, including two counts of rape of a child, following a four-day trial before the Honorable Patrick Carmody. Judge Carmody handed down the sentence on Friday, January 10, 2025.

“Thanks to the courage of a child and great work by investigators, this dangerous predator received a de facto life sentence,” said Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe.

Evidence presented during the trial showed that Ochoa-Mena repeatedly sexually assaulted the victim from the age of five until she was fourteen. During sentencing, Judge Carmody commended the victim for her bravery in coming forward.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Zachary Yurick and investigated by the West Chester Police Department with support from Chester County Detectives.
