EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The East Brunswick Police Department has announced that Route 18 northbound will be closed and detoured for three nights this week due to ongoing pavement and drainage pipe replacement work.
The closures are scheduled as follows:
- Monday, January 13, and Tuesday, January 14: Route 18 northbound will be closed from Tices Lane to Edgeboro Road from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.
Detour: Drivers will turn right onto Tices Lane, then left onto Old Bridge Turnpike/CR 527 to return to Route 18. - Wednesday, January 15: Route 18 northbound will be closed from Milltown Road to Tices Lane from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Detour: Drivers will turn right onto Milltown Road, left onto Old Bridge Turnpike/CR 527, and left onto Tices Lane to rejoin Route 18.
Variable message signs will provide real-time updates on traffic changes. In case of inclement weather, work will be rescheduled for the following night.
