HARRISBURG, PA — Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry has reached a settlement with Sundance Vacations, requiring the Wilkes-Barre-based company to pay $500,000 in restitution to consumers misled by deceptive sales tactics and bait-and-switch pricing schemes.
The agreement mandates that Sundance Vacations clearly disclose all travel package costs upfront and offers eligible consumers the chance to cancel contracts and potentially have millions in debt canceled.
Investigators found that Sundance promoted misleading deals like “30 vacations for $15,000,” hiding the full cost of vacation packages until after consumers signed agreements.
“Sundance misled Pennsylvanians into thinking that they were getting significant bargains on pricey vacations, when, in reality, Sundance was just hiding the final bill,” Attorney General Henry stated.
Consumers who previously filed complaints will automatically receive restitution, while others have until May 16, 2025, to submit claims for compensation.
