BALTIMORE, MD — A father and son from Baltimore are in custody after being charged with the attempted murder of a 28-year-old woman in the Eastern District last October.
The incident occurred on October 13th at approximately 7:46 p.m., when officers responded to a shooting in the 4300 block of Sheldon Avenue. The victim, who sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, was treated at the scene and transported to a hospital for further care.
Investigators determined that both 22-year-old Travis Braxton and his father, 44-year-old Larry Braxton, were involved in the shooting following a dispute. Arrest warrants for the two were issued shortly after the incident.
Travis Braxton was arrested on October 28th and charged with attempted first-degree murder. Larry Braxton was taken into custody more recently, on January 7, 2025, and faces the same charge. Both are being held without bail.
The victim continues to recover as the case moves forward in court.
