TOMS RIVER, NJ — The family of a missing Toms River man is asking for the public’s assistance in locating him after his car was found abandoned at Shelter Cove.
Deane LaBranche, 52, has been missing since January 4, according to his sister, Brooke Spurlock, who shared the news in a Facebook post.
Spurlock, who lives in California, said Toms River police contacted her after discovering her brother’s vehicle with personal items inside, including his guitar. She noted it was unusual for him to leave those belongings behind.
The last known contact with LaBranche, also known by his nickname “Dino,” was a phone call on Christmas Day, Spurlock said.
A missing persons report has been filed with the Toms River Police Department. Anyone with information is urged to contact Officer Austin Pelka at 732-349-0150.
Concern grows as search continues for missing Toms River man last seen before New Year.
