JESSUP, MD — Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with the January 2 robbery of a High’s convenience store in Jessup, linking the incident to a broader series of robberies in the Laurel area.

Police responded to the High’s store at 2861 Jessup Road around 2:40 a.m. after a male suspect implied he was armed, stole merchandise, and fled the scene in a gray sedan. No weapons were displayed during the robbery.

Following an investigation by the Regional Crimes Unit, detectives identified 33-year-old Troy Arias Coley of New Carrollton as the suspect. Coley was later arrested on January 6 after committing a similar robbery at a 7-Eleven in Laurel.

Coley was also connected to another 7-Eleven robbery on January 5 in Laurel. He was apprehended alongside 50-year-old Terrance Demond Spruill of Joppa, who was the driver during the January 6 robbery.

Authorities continue to investigate and urge anyone with additional information to contact detectives at 410-222-4730 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.
