LINDEN, NJ — A 24-year-old Linden man was injured Friday night after his motorized bicycle collided with an SUV on W. Elizabeth Avenue, police reported.
The crash occurred just after 10:00 p.m. on January 10 in the 500 block of W. Elizabeth Avenue. Preliminary investigations indicate that the man was riding east in the westbound lane when he collided with a westbound 2006 Acura SUV.
Emergency responders treated the bicyclist at the scene before transporting him to Newark University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The SUV’s driver, a 76-year-old man from Rahway, was not injured in the incident.
The Linden Police Traffic Bureau is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash and encourages anyone with information to come forward.
