Atlantic City, NJ – The Atlantic City Police Department arrested Jameel Stephens, 42, and Shamera Dunston-Marrero, 25, following an investigation into narcotics distribution. The pair had been wanted since early December.

On December 3, detectives from the Special Investigations Section executed a court-authorized search of a residence and vehicle on the 400 block of South Carolina Avenue.

They discovered over 1.34 pounds of cocaine, 21 grams of heroin, more than two ounces of MDMA, over $16,000 in cash, and drug paraphernalia intended for narcotics distribution. Stephens and Dunston-Marrero were not apprehended at the scene, but charges were filed, and warrants were issued for their arrests.

On Thursday, Detective Ermindo Marsini, with assistance from the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office, located the suspects in Pleasantville and successfully took them into custody.

Both individuals face charges including possession with intent to distribute controlled dangerous substances, money laundering, maintaining a CDS production facility, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
