WINDSOR MILL, MD. — A Baltimore County woman turned a hunch into happiness when a second quick-pick Pick 5 ticket she purchased for the Dec. 10 midday drawing led to a $50,000 win.

The federal worker, who often plays numbers with personal significance, added a second quick-pick ticket to her purchase at the Rolling Road BP station on North Rolling Road. When the number 04500 printed on her ticket, she felt it could be her lucky break—and it was.

Hours later, while checking her phone, she discovered the number 04500 had hit in the Dec. 10 midday drawing, securing her the $50,000 top prize. The winner said she plans to save most of her winnings and might use some to treat her grandchildren.

The Rolling Road BP station will also benefit from her win, receiving a $500 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
