Two injured in Friday shootings across Baltimore

BALTIMORE — A violent Friday in Baltimore left two people injured in an East North Avenue shooting and a man dead in a separate homicide on Druid Hill Avenue, according to police.

The first incident occurred at approximately 1:49 p.m. in the 2100 block of Druid Hill Avenue. Western District patrol officers responding to a shot-spotter alert found a 21-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Detectives are investigating the incident as a homicide.

Hours later, at approximately 8:24 p.m., Eastern District patrol officers responded to another shot-spotter alert in the 1100 block of East North Avenue. There, officers found a 25-year-old male and a 23-year-old female, both suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were taken to an area hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.

Eastern District Shooting detectives are handling the investigation into the East North Avenue shooting, while Western District Homicide detectives are leading the probe into the Druid Hill Avenue homicide.
