WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 19-year-old man was killed in a shooting Sunday evening in the 2200 block of Q Street, Southeast, prompting a homicide investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department.
At approximately 7:27 p.m. on December 22, Sixth District officers responded to reports of gunfire and found the victim, identified as Carmelo Green of District Heights, MD, unconscious and suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim dead after finding no signs of life.
Police have not released information about a suspect or motive as the investigation continues.
